April Wen is an artist from Lenapehoking/New York City. She wants us to look back at these times, and remember that within the grief, there has always been a tremendous will to live again and anew. Resilience in unexpected forms. This desire and formal play runs through April’s storytelling in narrative film.
Her work has been supported by Fulbright, the Center for Urban Pedagogy, Social Practice City University of New York, the Digital Diaspora Family Reunion, and innumerable communities outside of traditional institutions.
She holds a B.A. from Yale University in Film and Media Studies, and is an MFA candidate in Directing at Brooklyn College’s Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
