April Wen (b. 1995, New York City/Lenapehoking) is an artist and filmmaker. Their work transforms personal experiences of loss and reincarnation into invitations for collective mourning, acts of historical remembrance, and consideration for the “nature” of such rituals in a digital age.
Their work has been supported by Fulbright, the Gotham Film and Media Institute, and the Center for Urban Pedagogy. They hold an MFA in Film Directing from Brooklyn College, and a BA in Film and Media Studies from Yale University.
